Joyard turned out to be one of the most beautiful places we visited in Romania. We spent two nights in a 2+2 room, and the kids were delighted by the mezzanine and the small hidden compartment with a sweet treasure made especially for them. From the moment we arrived, you could feel that this place is crafted with passion—an orchard‑like garden, stylish interiors, restored details, and a premium atmosphere at the foot of the Fogaras Mountains. The children had plenty of activities, and we appreciated the beautiful shared space and the well‑equipped kitchen. The host was extremely helpful and kind. This place has a soul.

The quiet, good taste, cleanliness, and simplicity of the place were pleasing. It’s wonderful and invites you to relax a lot. Everything is wonderful.

The outdoor area is well maintained and offers many activities. The room above the technical room was extremely hot, which disturbed our sleep; we had to turn on the AC even though it was 15 degrees outside. Opening the windows did not cool the room. The checkout time was misleading: the booking listed 12:00, but the owner’s message said 11:00. The cleaning lady arrived at 10:30 and asked several times whether we had cleared the room, making us feel rushed to leave.

The property and its outdoor area are excellent, especially for families. The rooms are spotless and the staff are genuinely kind and helpful. The only caveat is that the experience depends heavily on other guests, since the kitchen, living room and yard are shared and some people treat them as their own.
