Malika's Yellow House

Hello everyone! I want to thank Yulia and Jayantha for the warm welcome and very careful treatment of guests. From the first minute I felt the most tender care. Yulia and Jayantha were there throughout the stay, helping with everything. I received instant answers to all questions. Yulia was always nearby, and her advice helped me save money and buy the right items. She was always close. The rooms have everything needed: clean and comfortable. The dishes prepared by Jayantha were tastier than in any restaurant. The hotel is located right on the ocean shore, making it priceless for a holiday. The beach is quiet and a little away from city bustle. This place is for those who value silence on vacation. The ocean here allows swimming, even if there are waves, because the hotel sits in a small cove. I recommend this spot to anyone who seeks a peaceful getaway! Yulichka and Jayantha! Thank you for everything! I hope to come again!

“Helt greit for en billig øvernatting 1 natt.”

Hygglig pesonale, og rent rolig område mot stranden. Frukost kunne ikke bli servert før etter kl. 09.00 og det fanntes ingen nærliggede steder og spise på så vi reiste videre. Til den billige prisen kunne vi kanskje ikke forvente noe mer? Det opplevdes absolutt ikke som på bilder, fantes ikke bar, restaurant og julepynten hengde sammen med vertparet vask rundt om. “ESTANCIA INOLVIDABLE EN HIKKADUWA EN MALIKA'S YELLOW HOUSE”

We loved our stay at Malikas, we enjoyed it a lot and the best part was Julia and Chayante’s hospitality. The room was mega clean with natural plants, well decorated, perfect air conditioning, super quiet location, a walk to the beach, with great nearby restaurants, especially the A2, 5 minutes on foot. Tanning beds where you can relax, spectacular breakfasts! They rented us a motorcycle for the whole week, a perfect option to move at your leisure and discover the beaches and the center of Hikkaduwa (10 minutes by motorcycle) and not have to take tuk‑tuks. The bus stop is a 2‑minute walk. Our return flight was canceled because of the current conflict, and we would have stayed another week at this place while we were rebooked on another flight, but unfortunately our room was no longer available 😥 so we found another accommodation nearby and they kindly offered that while we were still in Hikkaduwa we could come anytime and use their hammocks and spend the day with them. We felt at home here, would return without hesitation and recommend all travelers looking for relaxation to not hesitate to stay at Malikas. Thank you a thousand times for your hospitality. It was one of the best moments of our trip. I didn’t like leaving 😥

The beach was very nice and also good for swimming. We had tasty breakfast and dinner. The owner was very helpful. The bed was very hard, thin mattress. Unfortunately you could hear street noise very well at night.
