“With a couple of exceptions, this place is very nice. We would stay here again. Not crowded.”
The beach, restaurants, bars, grounds, on‑property restaurant, bed, and room location were all great; the restaurant opened just for us on the first night, Harry the island dog was a treat, the beach and grounds stayed uncrowded, and we could grab ice from the kitchen to fill our cooler. The shower in our room was a real headache—water temperature swung between too cold and too hot, never steady, so I couldn’t take a comfortable shower the whole stay; the faucet valves need replacement. The constant “engine braking” from large dump trucks on the road next to the resort was unbelievably loud and annoying all day, every day. The restaurant staff were polite and friendly, but when more than a couple of customers came, service slowed dramatically.
“The room is right on a quite beach which is very nice”
The Lighthouse hotel has a stunning location right on the beach, which was a major draw for me. However, getting there was a nightmare - the directions were completely unhelpful and the taxi drivers had no idea where it was. I was relieved to have remembered reading about the beach club, which I was able to direct the driver to instead. On the plus side, the caretaker at the property was super helpful when we arrived back in St Kitts, sorting out a taxi for us from the mainland.
“Was ok”
The hotel's peaceful atmosphere and stunning sea views were a perfect combination, but unfortunately, our stay was marred by a lackluster welcome from the staff. We didn't feel like we were getting the attention we needed, and some essentials were missing from our room. To top it off, we had no idea where to check out, which made things a bit more complicated than they needed to be.
