“Super entspannte Armosphäre mit wunderschöner Aussicht”
The location is super central, letting you reach everything in Santa Catalina quickly, and the hostel itself is lovingly designed with a gorgeous sea view. The German owner, her husband, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. I got loads of great activity tips, and when I mentioned planning a snorkeling trip, they immediately offered to book it for me. The vibe is very calm and welcoming; you can always sit with other guests in hammocks or lounge chairs on the terrace overlooking the sea and unwind. It’s especially nice for relaxing and recharging—an excellent spot!
The place is beautiful and quiet. My room was clean and spacious, and the AC worked super quietly. The tiny terrace in front of the room, with a hammock and a bar, was a nice touch. I did wish there were light switches near the bed, a chair so you don’t have to sit or lie only on the bed—especially when it’s hot outside. Unfortunately, the pillow covers and the laundry had a smell from the room that bothered me.

The location was very close to the beach and the center of Santa Catalina, where you can find plenty of dive shops and tours. It’s only a 5‑minute walk over the beach, or 15 minutes the other way. One bathroom for all the rooms wasn’t enough at times, and we sometimes had to wait, but it didn’t really bother us and we definitely enjoyed our stay at Casa Manila!
