Lanka Princess All Inclusive Hotel

The staff were very friendly and we felt very comfortable. The service was excellent. The breakfast did not match the price–value ratio.

We really liked the all‑inclusive package. Our superior room with direct pool access was very beautiful and well maintained. Cleaning was excellent, done daily, and included many services such as postcard delivery (postcards can be bought at the hotel with stamps). The staff were always present and very attentive to our needs. A huge thank you to Sadani at reception for welcoming us and listening to all our requests. We will fondly remember his kindness and professionalism. Occasionally the power would cut out. The minibar should also offer unsweetened drink options.

The buffet food was hearty and varied, and the cleaning staff were attentive in the dining area. The air conditioning works well for cooling but is very loud. Measured at 53 dB A, about 20 dB A higher than the typical “quiet” level for a standard air‑to‑air heat pump, it can be considered noisy. Every 10 dB difference is perceived as a doubling or halving of noise; over 30 dB more is about 8 times louder than a “quiet” unit, which is undesirable for sleeping. Reception staff do not maintain the same high standard as the rest of the team, reminding me of Fawlty Towers.

“Rundum stimmig”

Despite not being modern, the hotel has its own charm, and the compact layout is a plus. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the beautiful garden offers direct access to the public beach. The pool is a comfortable size for swimming, and the ayurvedic center and beauty department are a nice touch. While the hotel may not have top-notch amenities or a new build, I found that it lacked nothing during my stay.

“Hotel – nicht für Nichtraucher”

I was thoroughly impressed by the Sri Lankan staff, who were extremely polite, helpful, and eager to cater to our every need. However, the hotel itself falls short of its four-star rating in every aspect. The property is old, neglected, and dirty, with worn-out water sports equipment and poolside loungers in a deplorable state.
