A walk along the Kamo River in the evening was pleasant, but I wish there were no closing time.

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful. The quiet setting along the Kamo River was a bonus, and I’d love to stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto.

During the season of fresh green, the view of the Japanese garden from the room made the space feel very cozy. The hotel’s proximity to the station was convenient for moving around, and although meals weren’t included, there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

The garden was beautiful and the place was quiet, which I liked. However, I wish the room had its own amenities, a fridge with cold water, and ideally a private bath for each room.
