The swimming pool is a 5‑minute walk away, but it’s worth it! The staff were friendly.

“I probably wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t recommend.”

The stray cat was a highlight. Everything else could’ve been better: the location was bad, the balcony view terrible, they tried to charge me an outrageous fee for transport to the hotel, the pool wasn’t even inside the hotel—you’d have to walk to get to it (don’t recommend). Breakfast started the day after and they charged me for it, even though I could’ve gotten it for WAY cheaper, at 350 $ per person for a very mediocre breakfast.

This is a great place to stay in the West Bank. The large interior courtyard/garden hosts an onsite restaurant and exudes old‑world charm. The room and building are tidy, the furniture is good, the bathroom is large, and there’s plenty of natural light. The rooftop terraces offer sunset views. I highly recommend staying here—it’s the best and oldest hotel in the West Bank.

“Disappointing. Hotel closed for building work.”

The lady of the house was lovely and the bedroom view was nice. I was disappointed when, at the last minute, we were told the hotel was closed for renovation—too late to cancel and get a refund. We ended up staying with the family, and the interior was also being renovated. Comfort was very basic: appliance wires hung on the walls, dirt on the floor, and we couldn’t lock the bedroom door from inside. We were really looking forward to relaxing in a nice hotel by the pool after reading the reviews, but that wasn’t possible.
