Suzie cooked a great English breakfast, and both she and Alan were very nice and made me feel comfortable while helping me locate all the LOTR sights; the room felt very homely. I’d stay again if I ever came to the area, though the location was a bit far at times, which was the only issue – I had a car, so it was all good.

The welcome was very warm, the advice helpful, and the hosts’ atmosphere very friendly and sincere. The boiler room was next to the room we had, which made the night noisy and the sound was strong in the room.

Manuka Lodge is a fantastic B & B; the hosts Susie and Alan are welcoming, helpful, and very friendly. Our room was nicely furnished and cozy. The breakfast, with a few options to choose from, was very good, and the hiking tips we got from Alan proved valuable! Super!

It was modern, close to the town centre but in a quiet spot, and a short drive to Tongariro National Park.

Manuka Lodge is simply lovely and well positioned in quaint Ohakune. Our room was super spacious, warm and comfortable. It’s very hard to fault anything, so I feel quite picky by saying the bath towels could have been bigger.
