“Se non hai pretese e vuoi spendere poco è ok”

The hotel is located in a strategic spot for visiting Caen, and the staff are extremely kind and respond immediately. However, the building is rather run‑down, the cleaning is not up to standard (the carpet and bathroom could have been cleaner), and the room is very small, though the price remains low.

We last‑minute booked a studio (located in the opposite house) and everything we needed was there: a fully equipped kitchen and a shower‑only bathroom that was adequate. The building, especially the stairwell, felt very rustic, almost adventurous, which we enjoyed if you’re not into ultra‑modern décor. The breakfast was a special experience – a table for six right in front of the reception, very rustic, and you could chat with other guests. When the seats were full, you had to be patient to enjoy that unique atmosphere. The breakfast itself was good, with butter, cheese, jam, ham, baguette, brioche, croissants, and the usual drinks like coffee, water, and juice. The bed was a bit narrow.

“Good value for money”

Its location between the train station and the airport on bus route 3 in the city centre is convenient, but the room was a bit small, yet still suitable for our needs.

“la colazione buona ma poco varia, possibile aspettare il tuo turno perchè solo un tavolo da 6.”

It’s convenient for visiting Caen’s center and you can easily park in the paid blue lines; despite being only a one‑star place, the hotel is still pretty nice and tidy, though it’s nothing like the Royal Palace of Caserta.
