The breakfast was terrible, with no fresh juice or coffee, and the room lacked proper lighting and towels, making it impossible to shave or apply makeup in the bathroom. The drinks and food prices were outrageously high. A regular couple had already left after a similar experience. The description mentioned a sauna, but the staff insisted there was none—though one could find a sauna in the attic on the last day. Other guests complained during the stay, and the bed was unbearable because one side was higher than the other. We had to depart early due to a family death, and the manager flat‑out said the uncle’s death was irrelevant to us. We were deeply disappointed, as were several other guests.

The front‑desk lady was very unfriendly upon arrival, and breakfast didn’t start until 9 am. The pastries crumbled when cut, the coffee was inedible, and only cheap sausage and cheese were offered with no sides. I will never return.

The location is central, but the single‑woman operation is sometimes quite rude and there is no additional staff. The bathroom is old and the drain still has hair. Breakfast consists of baked rolls and expired yogurt. Overall, the value for money is not satisfactory.

The location was perfect for our needs—right in the center of Bad Griesbach and quiet. The stay was “quirky” in the old‑town hotel. The owner is very particular and somewhat brusque, making guests feel hardly welcome, even if she doesn’t mean it. I expected hospitality and discretion from a host, and at a price of 120 €, that’s not a bargain. The rooms were fine, but bathroom cleanliness was lacking. At 9 am, guests were woken by clanging and “Get up, breakfast!” calls from the hallway and garden, like a boarding school. The breakfast was basic; the eggs were cold because they were supposedly cooked at 8 am. The owner kept talking and lecturing, oscillating between amusement and irritation, and even searched for a hidden camera.
