“It was adequate for our needs.”

The design was unusual, each bedroom had an en‑suite and lockable door, and it was very clean and well presented. However, it wasn’t obvious that the apartment was shared with other guests. Breakfast was served at a nearby restaurant with a voucher, so you’ll have to pay if you want anything beyond a coffee and croissant. There were no clothes washing facilities, no real cooking facilities, and no cupboards in the bedroom. Most visitors only stay one or two nights in this town, so it might be adequate for their needs, but the staircase may not suit elderly guests.

The B&B’s location in the city centre was great, and the solution with the separate breakfast coffee was helpful. The manager was solution‑oriented and reliable, especially with parking issues. In narrow, historic cities parking is generally a problem for private travellers, and we had one too. The promised courtyard parking was not available, but the eloquent manager managed to secure a public spot right in front of the house on the (heavily parked) square.

The owners were very helpful and friendly! The location is unbeatable: centre of Caltagirone, historic building. Unfortunately, traffic and people in the square were very audible from the room, but it was an exceptional situation caused by the country festival.

“Une nuit agréable , marqué par l’accueil exceptionnel de Tina”

We were warmly welcomed by Tina, who was especially attentive throughout our stay. She even reserved a nearby parking spot for us with her own car, which was very appreciated. She also sent us many tips and good addresses via WhatsApp. We saw several rooms and finally chose the Diamante room: it is a bit pricier, but the extra cost is really worth it because it’s newer, very pretty, and pleasant. There was no real negative point to mention. The Diamante room carries a small surcharge, but that seemed fully justified given the quality of the room.

“goed, maar slechte nachtrust”

The spot is great, the building looks nice, but it really needs a facelift, especially the exterior windows. The place is noisy; the old glass lets everything in, so I couldn't sleep. Dogs barked all night in the village, no double glazing, and the kitchen crew starts up at 5 am, making a racket that wakes you up because there's no insulation. Traffic keeps going on after that, so no good rest. The bathroom is separated from the room by the shared hallway, which means you don't get much privacy.
