The spot is ideal, a cozy hidden gem; the room is simply decorated, supremely comfortable, and encourages you to slow down (no TV). The lush greenery is stunning and it has everything needed for a relaxed beach getaway. Napili beach is within walking distance and is perfect—snorkeling is a must. A hurricane hit the island and we lost power for half the stay; it wasn't the hotel’s fault, but as a compact property there was no backup structure (generators, free snacks, flashlight, etc.) to handle such a major event. They kindly refunded us for the day we couldn’t use the facilities.

The location is excellent, right on the beach, with low-rise buildings, good air conditioning and cross ventilation, and less than a block from the bus line; it has a very Hawaiian vibe and a beautiful garden.

The spot is within walking distance to some of Maui’s best beaches. The beach shower that removes sand from the body and feet needs improvement.
