We really liked the location, close to the sea, breakfast was very good. Reception staff were excellent. The wifi wasn’t great; it only worked near reception and didn’t reach our room.

Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were rustic yet spotless, and the staff were outstanding—Grevin was especially friendly. The spot was perfect, though the awnings smelled damp because of the humidity.
The place was quiet, surrounded by lush vegetation, and we spotted plenty of wildlife.
The cabin
“Midden in de jungle”
The staff were charming and the authentic beach huts were super atmospheric, giving us plenty of space together. We woke up early to monkeys, toads, and a few birds, but the breakfast was good—free on the first morning as a welcome gift, then $9 per person. The shower was warm, the beds were roomy, and the outdoor area, complete with a hammock, was lovely. The hut itself felt a bit old‑fashioned, lacked a fridge and air‑conditioning, and the lack of windows meant we heard a lot of jungle noise and hard rain at night. If you’re heading to Cohita National Park, avoid paying for a shuttle to the parking lot; there’s plenty of free parking, and the Playa entrance is free.
