The host family made us feel right at home, the rooms were spotless and comfy, and the garden setting gave a peaceful vibe with a tasty breakfast each morning. Two nights flew by, so I'd definitely return for a longer stay and more exploring.

The house was spotless and had a tiny kitchen that covered everything you need for a short trip, making it a solid base for exploring Tenorio National Park. Bijagua, the nearest town, is pretty quiet but feels authentic, so if you want a taste of real Costa Rican life this is the spot. The host family was wonderful, serving fresh‑pressed juice of a different fruit each morning along with a variety of traditional dishes. The only downside is that it's a bit isolated from most activity options.
