R Hotels Inn Hokkaido Asahikawa

I was close to the busy street, which was great, but the toilet shower room had a damp, almost wet smell that was pretty bad. The shower curtain was too short and water ran toward the toilet. Also, there was no partner parking lot available.

“Hôtel proche de la gare mais sans intérêt”

The hotel was near the train station and the staff were friendly and smiling. I couldn’t try the breakfast. The room was really small, and so was the bathroom – fine for one night, but the hotel was booked on short notice the day before.

Breakfast was fantastic and the staff’s service was excellent, with nothing negative to mention.

The shower performed well and the hotel’s proximity to the station was convenient; although the room was listed as having two single beds, it felt more like a semi‑double or the size of two twins, giving plenty of space for my young elementary‑school‑age child to share the bed comfortably. It would have been nice to have an ice‑maker.

I had to cancel a reservation at a nearby Hoshino Resort and booked here at the last minute; the hotel is close to the station and the rental‑car office was also nearby the next day, which was very handy. By chance we could see some fireworks from the window, a famous ramen shop was within walking distance, and the room was spacious and comfortable.
