A very reasonable and good option in Kirkenes. If you just need a bed, shower, and can skip breakfast, this is the place. You can buy an absolutely lovely dinner at the hotel‑attached restaurant.

Nice Asian vibe, great spot in the city centre. The restaurant attached to the hotel is good and the service is friendly. The best part of the day was already over, a renovation would be nice. Noise from the lower‑floor bar and street seeped in during the weekend, the window had to be kept open because the room was warm but there was practically no ventilation.

“Nocleg na krańcu świata”

The hotel is in the very centre of Kirkenes, and we got a room on the first floor. On the ground floor is a Chinese restaurant. We used the open kitchen on the second floor. Besides touring Kirkenes (museum, Andersgrotta shelter) we also went to the Norwegian‑Russian border at Grense Jakobselv, the real edge of civilization. The first night was quite noisy from a nearby bar. On the second day there was no electricity (lighting, fridge) in the room; only the light and outlet in the bathroom worked.

Central location. The staff were unbearable, insisting that we could only be two guests in the room even though we had booked for two adults and one child, as written in the booking confirmation shown at the front desk. We were still told we could only be two guests. Lots of arguing. The room had poor sound insulation.

I have to admit I liked something special about the hotel. It desperately needs a complete renovation. It’s not inviting to walk into a hotel that looks so worn out; everything seemed grey and colourless. It would have been useful to have a simple breakfast served.
