“Quem for para este alojamento, Encanto do Álamo, não espere ter TV, Wi-Fi e pequeno almoço, não há.”

They claim there’s TV and Wi‑Fi, but the TV exists and is broken, the Wi‑Fi modem is plugged in but non‑functional, and a satellite dish supplies signal to two units, yet only one unit is connected; the other’s cable is too short to reach the antenna. This situation has apparently persisted for a long time. I spoke twice with Mr Gonçalo, who said a technician would be sent, but no technician ever arrived during my 10‑night stay. I chose this accommodation for Wi‑Fi, yet all I had was wind noise from the palms. The breakfast is advertised with a very suggestive photo, yet it’s impossible to serve meals in these units. Regarding the accommodation itself, it’s fine, but Portus Alacer claims to be available 24 h a day to resolve any issue—another falsehood. I called repeatedly, left voice messages, but never received a return call. The owner pressured me into a single call that repeated the same “technical” excuses. Overall, the experience was awful; the lesson is to avoid Portus Alacer. There is a lovely little cat on the property—hope anyone staying there gives her food.

The outdoor area is very pleasant, but the room lacked adequate ventilation, the bed frame had a broken board, and there was never any cleaning during the week.

“Um lugar de facto que vou recomendar”

I loved the cozy setting, the quiet, and the pool, but I couldn’t turn on the TV, the TV could have been a bit larger, and the mattress could have been softer.

Everything from communication with Gonçalo and Ana, to the pool and the amazing cat that kept us company, was exceptional! We plan to return.
