The location is good, 30 minutes by car from Edinburgh, and there are public transport options. Breakfast is nice, finally some sweet items beyond just bread and jam, with various kinds of brioche. Street parking is free. The room cleaning could use a review.

The welcome was great and the host was lovely and very helpful. The stay was comfortable, and the continental breakfast featured fresh fruit and pastries. A short bus ride from the door takes you to Edinburgh, and Rosslyn Chapel is next door. There's a great café across the road.

It was a charming, slightly old-fashioned inn with a great restaurant and friendly service. The location next to Rosslyn Chapel was convenient. We had booked breakfast, but it was sparse; if you wanted a continental breakfast with a fried egg or something warm you had to pay extra, which was disappointing, especially since the room wasn't cheap.

Funeral went well and manager was very helpful. Hotel was clean and food well cooked. Quiet at night so comfortable sleep. Car park . Small room £169 seems expensive . £20 for steak pie. Oban whisky £10. Coke £3.10 . Sauvignon £6.95. Booking .com didn’t stipulate continental breakfast so embarrassed when friends offered one. Low windows in room and bathroom at height of top deck on bus
