As a solo traveler, I liked that the price is per person, so it essentially works like a single rate – not many places do that. The cabin called "The Chapel" I stayed in has a really pleasing design and build, with great views of the dam and a short walk down to the water, plus lots of bird life. It’s not a huge issue, but the check‑out time was listed as 11am, yet a sign in the cabin said 10am (though you can request a later check‑out). 10am always feels too early at a nice place!

The location is good, but the accommodation is quite basic. No towels were provided. A leaking waste pipe in the bathroom left a puddle on the floor. The cottage is meant to accommodate 8 people (number of beds), yet there is only one lounge chair.

The lakeside spots were amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us and our dogs feel right at home—truly an outdoor paradise!
