Nam Anh Hotel

The rooms were clean and spacious, but I absolutely do not recommend this place. We paid for two nights in a private room and spent the first night in a dormitory. At the end of the stay, they charged us more than expected, claiming a “new law” even though everything was supposedly included in the booking price.

This place turned out to be surprisingly good! It offered the best value for money we could have asked for. The staff were patient and eager to accommodate every request. We managed to do laundry during our stay and received it smelling great. A sleeper bus arrived late at night; they kept our bags safe and helped us shower before we left. We were extremely happy with our decision to stay here.

Perfect!! The hosts are the sweetest. We arrived very early at 5 am, got the room right away, which was a huge help after a long trip. They assisted us with everything, even arranging a cheap cave tour far cheaper than any other place we checked. They provided breakfast on the tour day and were there for anything we needed. The price was very, very good and the location excellent, with many restaurants and bars around, and you can rent bikes or scooters through them if you want.

“Decent for a couple nights if you aren’t too fussy”

The staff were very friendly, the morning banh mi was good, and the room was spacious and very quiet. The bedsheet had marks and a hole from a cigarette, so new sheets would help. There was a sweat smell in the bathroom, possibly from the drain, and the toilet could use a new lid and the window more cleaning. A cockroach appeared when we checked in, though that can happen anywhere.

The staff were very nice but lacked seriousness. There were no bath towels in the room; we had to ask twice, and they were delivered 3–4 hours later. There were no shower caps, and no slippers were provided even though shoes should be removed. It was very expensive.
