I stayed in a nice, well-equipped place with a very friendly host and a great breakfast, but the value for money was only average, paying 330 € for two nights in a double room with a 2‑year‑old child.

The staff were pleasant and the room was cute, breakfast was fine, and the bed and bathroom were good; however, there were not many food or grocery options on site, so we had to take the ferry again, which cost 5.50 € for a return ticket, and the seating in the room itself was suboptimal, meaning that if you wanted to relax you had to use the shared area.

We spent one night here because of a restaurant reservation on Kaagiland; the welcome was warm, the clean room had all the facilities and we slept in a kind of large cabin bed, and the morning breakfast was delightful. A jacket that had been left hanging was brought back to us on a bike by the host while we waited at the pontoon—what excellent service!

Kaag is a charming, little village! We enjoyed a short bike ride around the island, spotting herons, cows, rabbits, and other birds, and Quattro turned out to be an excellent Italian restaurant.
