Situated a short walk from the town centre and Windsor Castle, it provides easy access to historic sights and business venues. The location was great, the staff were friendly, check‑in was simple, the room was accessible, spacious, and surprisingly quiet, but getting through the door was a bit tricky—two hands were needed to unlock and open it, and the heavy door made it hard for a lone guest to get a heavy suitcase through.

The hotel has plenty of character and sits right next to a pub; I worried it would be noisy at night, but it was surprisingly quiet and I slept fine. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. There is no breakfast service, but the room included a helpful list of nearby cafés and restaurants within walking distance where guests can have breakfast, which I found very useful. Overall, a charming, characterful place to stay with friendly staff, a convenient location, and a genuine Windsor atmosphere—I’d happily stay here again. The room had no air conditioning, so it felt quite warm when I arrived in the afternoon, though it cooled down in the evening and I slept well. The only inconvenience was the lack of a lift, meaning I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs, but Windsor is full of historic buildings, and this hotel is part of that charm, so it didn’t bother me too much.

Perfect location easy walk into Windsor. Near to numerous eateries. Small shop open next door for bits and bobs. Lovely comfy beds and quality towels. Self catering facilities. Needs a little bit of a refurbishment of paintwork in a few places but not enough to spoil our stay

This was a fun place to stay - convenient with a great pub. They also bring in food options such as food trucks when the kitchen isn't open, and a charming coffee truck in the mornings. The pub is lively with great energy. The mattresses were a bit springy and not all that comfortable, and we were surprised to find that the kitchen wasn't open on a Friday night
