A super uriges Hotel with loads of flair, a well‑maintained garden, and friendly staff, but the overnight stay and restaurant were too pricey for the area.

The team was always friendly and helpful, but the full English breakfast was overcooked; a power outage meant we missed the beans, and the pre‑outage breakfast was poor, with oily, hard hash browns and bacon that couldn’t be cut. Apart from that, everything else was perfect.

The building is exceptional, packed with charm and history, and its location in Lacock is great for everything, yet the towel rail stayed on during a heatwave, which was annoying.
