Dodo was exceptionally welcoming. Breakfast is normally served at 8, but because we had to leave early he happily served it at 6 for us.

The front‑desk lady at the café was super sweet, but the rest of the experience was awful. The room was cramped, with no proper sealing—just a window and a “winter garden” that let in insects. We spent a lot of time swatting bugs and trying to block the window, but the indoor garden was impossible to seal. We understood it might be part of the rustic vibe (the nightly rate is 542 reais) and didn’t complain. In the middle of the night it rained hard, and we spent the whole night soaking in the room because water leaked in through the window, the winter garden, and holes in the roof. No staff were available, so we only slept when the rain stopped, and even then only in the tiny, uncomfortable corner of the bed that stayed dry—by almost dawn, ruining our plans. What really got under my skin was the owner’s reply: he blamed cats for the mess that night. He tried to chat with us, invading our quiet breakfast time, talked a lot about himself, offered a new rate (something we would never accept again), and only after we asked did he agree to refund part of what we paid. Even without the rain nightmare, the place felt uncomfortable for the price, so we wouldn’t return or recommend it.

Dodó was always super helpful and full of good energy. We really liked that.

The owners and staff gave us excellent service, but the rooms were noisy.
