Fidodido Guesthouse Jungle trekking

We spent three days there and were completely satisfied. The Guest House sits in a nice spot and has everything you need. The locals are very friendly and help out with questions like transport. We also booked the Orang Utan Jungle Trek through the accommodation, which was great. On the first day we saw an astonishing 13 wild orangutans. The guides were very friendly and the jungle food was surprisingly good and varied.

Propre, lit confortable personnel très accueillant. Eau tempéré ni chaude ni froide c’est déjà bien ! Ventilateur fonctionnel et efficace Organisation du transport et repas a l’hotel top! Emplacement tres bien avant ou après le trek dans la jungle. Tres belle vue du balcon. Malheureusement le samedi soir c’est la fête dans la ville musique jusqu'à plus de 3h dans le village et ca résonne partout impossible de dormir. mais indépendant de la position de la guesthouse

“GREAT LOCATION AND STAFF”

The location was excellent—right next to the river. It’s fairly central, though the area is small, as long as you pick a spot by the river. I find the river sound calming, but it’s also quite loud! The staff were lovely and hospitable. I arrived late (nearly 9 pm), but they still arranged a jungle trek for the next morning. They also gave me a free lift to the bus station on check‑out, which is a 20‑minute walk away. The food was nice and the beer was cheap—large Bintang only 50 IDR. The fan in room 4 was so loud! Credit to the lady who runs the show; as soon as I complained she gave me a free upgrade, so it was a blessing in disguise. Hopefully they’ll repair or replace the fan. No hot water, but the showers aren’t freezing cold. The temperature is bearable, and maybe cold showers are common in Bukit Lawang. The hammock was only big enough for a child—I fell out of it!

The staff were super available, the location was excellent, the facility was clean, and the value for money was great, with the option to book treks and airport taxis. Breakfast and lunch/dinner are available on site with good food. Some might find the noise from motorbikes passing near the property annoying.

“Muy lindo y cómodo!”

Both the staff and the accommodation were amazing; sleeping with the river’s sound is the best part of the place. The breakfast is tasty and the staff very helpful. I would definitely return. The price relative to the quality was perfect. Everything was great!
