Almost everything was great: the beautiful garden, the safety, the quietness with birds, trees, and rain, the very well built house, the very original furniture that matched nature, a good bed, a hot shower, cleanliness, the option to handwash clothes, discreet friendly staff, and the homemade hibiscus juice (rossela, called “karkadi” in Sudan). The only downside was the lack of wifi and the difficulty for Bolt drivers to locate the place (so I added it to Google Maps); a two‑minute walk further leads to Boulevard Inn, a beer garden that’s noisier but easy for Bolt drivers to find.

The apartment was away from the hectic pace of Arusha yet still close enough. Joyce was very kind and helped us with everything she could. The only thing that didn’t suit me was the breakfast, which felt very European with butter‑topped toast, honey, and eggs.

The garden was very pretty, and the wooden furniture in the living room and bathroom added to the charm. However, there was no air conditioning or wifi, and the living room and kitchen were shared spaces.

Breakfast was high quality and reasonable for the price, and the pace of the place was well‑placed in Arusha town with exceptional calm. Occasionally you have to call more than once for the staff to pick up.
