It was just a short stay before catching a highway bus the next day, and the location is very convenient for the bus station.

The spot is super convenient, just a five‑minute walk from Shinjuku Station and surrounded by plenty of places to eat, so you never worry about food; the soundproofing isn’t great and some of the fixtures feel a bit dated.

The Kadoya Hotel worked out great for my business trip to Tokyo. It sits in Shinjuku, yet it’s surprisingly quiet. The station is only a few minutes’ walk away, and within a minute you can find plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and other shops. For Tokyo, the single room felt quite spacious. They offer nice extras like special pillows and extra face creams. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government building is also within walking distance if you want to hit the observation deck or the light show. Breakfast is served in a small café next door, offering three set choices—Western, Japanese, and Egg—both of which are very good. The only downside is that waiting for breakfast can be long if you’re in a hurry.
