“GRAZIE AYLA”

My husband and I stayed at Ayla from 26/09 to 02/10, and a part of our hearts stayed there. Simai, the owner, has a sweetness that stays in your mind. The hotel is gorgeous, right on the beach, decorated in a tasteful African chic style, and the service, cleanliness, and breakfast far surpass not only other European villages abroad but also the standard of many hotels in Europe. We felt at home and super pampered. Thanks also to the very friendly staff. I’d suggest, if you want souvenirs, go to Tommaso the carpenter (great, honest, kind) and for TV, there are painters with a shop on the beach who paint wonderfully (one of them even did paintings inside the hotel that will leave you speechless). Anyway, for anything you rely on Simai, he’ll guide you through everything. Thanks Simai, thanks Ayla, thanks Zanzibar. Until next time.

“Top Hotel”

The owner Smail was very polite, as was the entire staff. Ayla Beach House is a small hotel with a lot of love for detail. Smail emphasizes sustainability and individuality. The whole house is made of clay flooring, which gives a pleasant climate, and the shower is completely from clay walls. There’s a bookshelf where you can borrow a book or leave one you’ve read. The bed was rather hard, which we liked. The breakfast on the sensational rooftop terrace left no wishes unfulfilled. The beach area has a shower and offers beach chairs with and without shade. Around are several local stalls and beach vendors. The only downside is the path to the hotel is a bit rough. The beach is nice, but on the east coast it’s hard to swim because of the tide. We had a lot of wind, which was great for kitesurfing but not so nice for swimming. Unfortunately, the village doesn’t have many options for strolling.

“Lovely!”

The owner and staff were lovely, the breakfast was great, and the decor was very nice. The bathroom had a slight musty smell.

“Ospitalitá italiana in terra africana”

We had a divine stay. Simai was extremely kind, available, and ready to solve any of our needs, speaking excellent Italian that makes you feel at home. The property, right on the sea with a private beach, is clean, welcoming, and decorated in African style (but with all Italian comforts), making it wonderful. The only downside was that we were given too little time. Absolutely worth returning.
