Winchester Royal Hotel

“Pleasant clean and functional but nothing special.”

The location is superb, just a short walk from the cathedral, shops, and museums, and the buffet breakfast offers plenty of options. The rooms and public areas stay clean, and the garden’s outdoor seating is a nice place to unwind with a drink in the sunshine. However, the room itself is basic and old‑fashioned, and some staff at breakfast were not very friendly and the setup seemed chaotic.

Location, hotel a bit tired, although the rooms had recently been painted, the bathroom needs to be brought up to standard. Great location for visiting the city. Tired hotel, brekfast not great

“Great central location”

The location is great, just a stone’s throw from everything, and the room was comfortable and clean with on‑site parking. The bed was huge but consisted of two single mattresses pushed together; it needs a proper zipper and a topper, and we fell into the gap a bit, though overall the beds were comfortable.

“Very glad I chose this hotel to stop at , super convenient”

Very central location just off the main high street and opposite the cathedral , the on site parking was a major positive too. The property is very old so the doors are low and the rooms are crooked , not really a negative just something to be aware of , our room was also very small , though adequate

“Nice place in Winchester”

Location very good. Near the high street and shopping area. Staff very nice and helpful. Good choice and nice buffet breakfast. Bar area where you could order food day and evening. Room was nice and was garden facing. Facilities to make a brew, good shower and TV. All in all a nice stay
