“Two night city break”
We’ve stayed here twice and each time it’s been a calm, pleasant experience; the staff were friendly, and the complimentary soft drink and snacks added a nice touch. The transport hub is spot‑on and the area is packed with restaurants, while the luggage storage worked perfectly both when we arrived and when we left, letting us roam the city with ease. Breakfast at the hotel was sufficient to get us through a good day. The downside was that the bathroom was functional but cramped and difficult to move around in.
The reception greeted us warmly and the staff were friendly; a cold beer on arrival was a nice bonus.
The staff were friendly and the bedroom was nice and comfortable. And it was clean. I booked and paid for myself and my family to stay in the admiral hotel and we ended up staying in another building instead. We didn't even have a normal bathroom, it was more like a plastic caravan bathroom which was tiny and dangerous as there wasn't enough space for myself,my husband or my family members to even have a shower. You stood up after using the toilet and would slip into to the shower tray. Very dangerous, especially at night time.the rooms I booked were in the admiral hotel with a normal full size bathroom and instead we were given this. This is not what I paid for. Was asked if we wanted to leave our luggage there while walking around, and glad I didn't as people were told to just dump there luggage on the floor near the reception desk/ communal room. No tickets to prove who's luggage is who's. Breakfast time was bad. Booked for 8.30 and still had to wait around with other families because the breakfast Room is so tiny that people had to wait for others to finish before you could go downstairs to the breakfast room. Tiny room where people we're passing hot food and drinks over peoples heads, including my two year old granddaughter because there was not enough space to walk around inbetween tables. The bacon and beans were cold and I didn't get a hash brown with my breakfast but the rest of my family didm . The continental breakfast was not a continental breakfast. It consisted of cornflakes, crunchy nut cornflakes, muesli and sunflower seeds, a tiny plate of sliced cheese and toast you made yourself. And took so long to come out
“Poor”
The location was great, but the shower was terrible—overly hot for September, which kept me from sleeping, and the facilities felt very old.
“Comfortable good stay”
We were welcomed with a warm greeting and a complimentary beer, which was just what we needed. Parking was private and on‑site, and we didn’t realize the full English breakfast was included, which turned out to be fantastic.
