We just wanted to stay for a night and had no expectations, yet we were pleasantly surprised by the rustic, tasteful atmosphere overall, a great room with views in all directions, extremely friendly service, excellent dinner, and a superb breakfast – we’re thrilled.

“Deludente. Sotto gli standard friulani.”

The location was very good and very quiet. The breakfast could use improvement; even though the bar was open and working, the coffee and cappuccino were made with a household machine. Since it’s Casa Wolf, known for Sauris cured meats, I’d have expected a savory breakfast worthy of the name. The room’s air conditioning was provided by a noisy mobile unit, which was annoying. Instead of using the night breeze from the Friulian hills, we couldn’t because the windows lacked screens.

The Osteria is lovely, the setting tasteful, with a large courtyard and garden. The hosts are friendly. The large room had a small fridge, and the air conditioning was very important to us. We were allowed to eat our own food in the garden. The location was too far for our holiday… about 10 km from the Alpe Adriaweg.
