The bed was clean and the atmosphere was nice, but the space on the first floor was cut in half.

We stayed in the women‑only capsules. The hostel was generally clean. The upper‑floor lobby had a tiny kitchen with a microwave; a small fridge would have been great. There were six shower stalls, each with shampoo and shower gel. A small hot‑water pool was available. The lobby offered disposable items like a single‑use towel, toothbrush, razor, and comb. You can stay without any personal belongings. During our dates the place was quiet and calm. We paid less than $20 a night, which exceeded our expectations. We were very satisfied with our stay and even wished we could have stayed longer. In March or November, when crowds are larger, the situation might differ. There were enough showers, but only two hair dryers for women, which caused a wait even when the hostel wasn’t full. One washing and drying machine each, apparently costing 100 yen. The dryer didn’t dry well, sometimes needing a second run; we had few items in our capsule so it wasn’t a big deal. The air‑conditioners were too cold and we often felt chilly. The quilts in the capsules were insufficient, but the lobby had blankets that we used to cover the beds twice. In summer some might see this as an advantage. Every room gets a lockable locker, but a large suitcase may not fit. The lower part of the locker touches the floor, so it’s not suitable for storing items. The upper shelf, where we could squeeze a backpack, was for special items. The capsules are not lockable, so I left my clothes, deodorant, and comb next to my bed because there was no space. In the 20‑person capsule room there were only two toilets; not unusual for hostel standards, but during busy times it could be problematic. Two extra sinks helped compensate. The hostel has two lobbies: one on the ground floor next to reception, the other on the second floor just in front of the women’s capsule room. The ground lobby closes at night; the upper lobby stays open. Noise can reach the capsules. Having the women’s floor is not very comfortable for men because the showers are on the top floor. There is no shared space for unpacking multiple suitcases, so we unpacked in the lobby in front of the door. If the ground lobby stayed open at night, it would solve this issue. Finally, the location was good.

The facilities are very practical and the value for money is great. Nothing bad to say.

Hip and stylish, everything felt super clean and organized. The bath was incredibly relaxing after a long day of walking around Tokyo; you’ll want to stay in that part of the hotel. Asakusa is a quiet, peaceful area but still full of local restaurants and shops within a short walk. The train station is close enough to reach most places you’d like. I was a bit confused about whether the downstairs café was open, but it didn’t really matter. There are plenty of places to eat and grab coffee nearby. Capsule neighbors vary in quality, but I didn’t encounter anyone who was a bother.
