Marie’s House 201 Hongdae, a newly renovated B&B in Seoul, offers spacious family rooms with private bathrooms, air‑conditioning, kitchenettes, streaming services, work desks and dining areas. Guests enjoy a lush garden, free Wi‑Fi, bicycle parking, full‑day security and a paid shuttle. Located 12 km from Gimpo Airport, it sits a 12‑minute walk from Hongik University Station, near Hongik University and Ewha Womans University.

The accommodation is very clean and extremely cozy.

The noise level was surprisingly low, and the nearby supermarket made shopping a breeze. However, when the Taiwan typhoon caused flight cancellations, the accommodation fee was non‑refundable, which meant I spent a lot of time trying to rebook flights; I finally left from Taichung but still faced a delayed flight, so I spent a lot of time waiting. By the time I arrived at the homestay it was the next day at 5am, there were no buses or airport express trains, so I had to take a night‑time taxi with a surcharge, which was a real disappointment.

My friends and I were blown away by how comfortable the homestay was; it felt like home, with every corner of Marie’s house clean and well‑organized. The location is great, close to Yeonnam‑dong where you can find plenty of aesthetic cafés with good food. In the room there was a TV with Netflix, a fridge, a Marshall speaker, an air conditioner, and a heater. The bathroom had a heater and included hair shampoo, hair conditioner, and body shampoo. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, an electric kettle, a microwave oven, and an induction cooker for us to use. I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting a stay near Hongdae, and I’ll definitely come back for my next visit to Korea ❤️
