The setting is gorgeous and the décor is cozy, just what you’d expect from a mountain hotel. The mattresses were very firm and noticeably sagged.

The breakfast was decent, the location was spot‑on, and the spa area would probably have been great too; the bar and dinner staff were friendly. The reception staff were okay but not particularly warm. Dinner was huge in quantity but far below the quality expected in the Italian mountains; the food was overcooked, poorly seasoned, and didn’t meet even our modest expectations. At breakfast, it’s common for all Italian hotels to provide coffee machines, and usually a good cup is available on request, but here the reply was “please use the vending machine, the proper machine is broken… well, that was apparently the case.”
