The spot was perfect, right in the heart of the medieval maze of narrow streets, and we were heading for Villa Romana Del Casale – it felt like heaven. The host was incredibly friendly and helped us out in every way.

This B&B in the center of Piazza Armerina is great for exploring the town and Villa Romana del Casale; the owner will gladly give you a paid taxi ride, 20€ round‑trip. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom worked well. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast, however, wasn’t very varied; anything beyond the basics is only served after 9:00 am, and if you need to leave early you’ll only find a few yoghurts, crackers or pre‑packed croissants with juice, milk or still water.
