Hotel Schörhof is located right in the hiking area and in winter next to the cross-country ski run in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang ski area north of Saalfelden. The ski lifts of the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang Ski Area are 12 km away, while Zell am See is 18 km away. The use of the spa area with indoor pool and fitness room is included in the price. Beauty treatments and massages are available. Hotel Schörhof’s restaurant serves regional cuisine with specialities from its own farm. In winter a heated ski and ski boot storage room and cross-country skis for guests’ use are available. In summer the Schörhof offers a solar-heated outdoor pool, a sun terrace, and a big playground with a petting zoo. Bicycles and mountain bikes are available for guests’ use. The Maria Alm Ski Area and the Golfclub Urslautal are both within a 15-minute drive of the Schörhof.

The room was comfortable, the staff were very helpful, we received a nice spa bag with an extra towel and bathrobe that was very useful, and the breakfast was wonderful.

The hotel staff, especially the front‑desk clerk, were kind and very helpful; breakfast was excellent; the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was a decent size while the shower was tiny; the balcony of our specific room was mostly blocked by a curtain from a service room; in the evening there were very few decent dining options nearby, and those that existed closed very early; the hotel’s own restaurant was fairly good.

The location was beautiful and quiet, the breakfast was wonderfully extensive, and the evening meals offered a wide selection that was delicious. The indoor and outdoor pools and sauna were free for guests, and there was a manager on site so children under 7 could ride a pony for free; plenty of activities for kids.

The rooms were nice with balconies, the indoor pool and outdoor pool were great, the breakfast and meals were very good, the staff were very friendly, and it was dog‑friendly. The only downside might be that it sits directly on a country road, so you can hear cars when the windows are open, but that didn’t bother me.
