“We loved Lucerne, but would not choose this hotel again.”
The location was great! Close to everything!. The room was very small and stuffy. No air conditioning and there was one very small desk fan that rattled and didn’t help with sleeping. We booked months in advance and our room was one that wasn’t shown in photos, and the window opened directly onto the building next door only 1 metre away, which made it dark and no natural light. Other rooms had views but not ours. The bathroom walls were painted dark brown and had water marks or mold coming through, and needs a good clean, however everything else in the bathroom and room were clean. There were 2 coffee cups but no water glasses in the room. I think it’s a great location but for us, the photos on the website were deceptive

The label “EinzelZIMMER” was inappropriate for this narrow roof‑top room (the photos were probably taken with a wide‑angle lens); apart from the bathroom you can only stand directly behind the entrance door, and the safe and fridge can only be reached by crawling, you have to lie down yourself to avoid hitting your head on a beam. The mattress is completely sagging and urgently needs replacement. It’s better to spend a bit more for a proper room!

The style of the rooms was very nice and comfortable. The lack of staff and the automated check‑in were not pleasant. Breakfast was not available. The room was very hot. A room was very poorly suited for a tall person.
