It was the worst stay ever for the price of a four‑star Budapest hotel; I’d call it a robbery, with misleading information and pictures that look like marketing. The stay was overpriced, the check‑in was complicated, I had to download a strange application that demanded all my data, GDPR??!!! It’s in the middle of the market, there’s no parking, no yard (it actually belongs to the market), no privacy, the room is tiny, the wall is slanted, there’s no battery in the lamp, no TV connection, no staff, and the emergency number is out of service.

The place is kind and well located. The operator only communicates in English, which is odd even though I speak English.

We were happy with the room—it was clean, a nice small room on the upper floor, and the location is great. Unfortunately a series of inconveniences followed. We couldn’t check in online because the site wasn’t working, so we had to call. On the evening of our arrival the AC was not working (we were during the second heat dome period) and the Wi‑Fi we were given didn’t show up on any of our phones. The TV was unusable; after turning it on it displayed a message that the feature was not available. On the second night, when we returned, the device for entering the gate code didn’t work, so we couldn’t get through the external gate. There was a phone number for problems, the lady was very friendly and helpful, but she couldn’t actually solve anything. We could still pass the gate, but then we discovered that the whole floor had no power. We reported this by phone, she said she would call the owner. We waited almost half an hour for power to return, and we don’t know if the owner came or if it was resolved on its own. We understand that things can break, but here almost nothing worked properly.

The place was spotless, comfy, and the services were great – it surpassed every expectation, especially the quiet atmosphere.
