“Great place near slope and delicious Japanese cuisine.”
The food was excellent and the staff took great care of us.
“아름다운 기억을 만들어준 최고의 숙소”
Every day we could see an amazing amount of snow and enjoy the best traditional Japanese lodging. All the staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious, a flavor that any Korean would love! After washing in the hot spring, the skin feels soft, it’s the best. In winter the Seki ski resort is just 15 seconds away, the best! I plan to go again next year.
“Great place to stay to ski Seki Onsen”
Simple but comfortable Ryokan directly opposite the Seki Onsen chair lift, very helpful and friendly owner, good value, good breakfast.
The shower area is the onsen itself. The onsen is open to non‑guests only until 5:30 pm, after that it’s only for guests. I had the onsen to myself every day! The room is traditional, the house in general keeps its charm, it’s clear it’s old but well maintained. The location is perfect if you want to ski in Seki, otherwise you have to drive to the other areas. At 10 pm the main door closes, you have to arrive earlier. One night we asked the manager for extra time and he let us in at 11 pm. If you want to go out for dinner and have some sake it’s a bit tight; we’d prefer more freedom. Access to the central restaurant area takes about 15‑20 min by car because one of the streets that connects the accommodation directly to the center was blocked (full of snow, no maintenance) and you had to detour on the main roads.
“Traditional ryokan in a tiny Japanese village”
A very traditional ryokan with beautiful views and exceptional hospitality. There is absolutely nothing I didn’t like. Some people may find the facilities aging but it actually adds to the character.
