The location is fantastic, the food is good, the nature is wonderful, but the room’s ventilation is bad.

Peter’s reception was exceptionally warm and made us feel truly welcome—almost like staying with a friend. His stories about the house and its history were fascinating, and it was great that he spoke German. The walk around the property with our dog was perfect for the evening, and both dinner and breakfast were good, plentiful, and tasty, especially since there were so few guests on a weekday in September. In short, we’ll definitely return on a future trip across the country toward the ferry, and we might stay for 2–3 nights. On the downside, the headboard of the bed hit the wall with every turn; we had to stuff some paper between to soften it.
