“Almost perfect — if only the laundry worked!”

The room stayed tidy and comfy, and I could stay there without any hiccups during my business trip; having breakfast every day made mornings convenient. The laundry machine in the guest area was broken for the whole stay, with no sign of repair, and guests on longer trips need working laundry; it would help if the machine were fixed quickly or if an alternative, like a nearby coin laundry, were announced.

“It was okay.”

I appreciated the shuttle to O'Hare so we could take the train into the city; the hotel was close to shops, restaurants, and the arena was behind us. We saw a flea market on Sunday and my kids wanted to check it out, so we walked over. The hotel looked clean but clearly needed upkeep. The first‑day breakfast was over‑picked; I told the front desk and she said she’d inform hospitality, which they did promptly, though they seemed annoyed about filling empty containers. The food was mediocre. The beds were uncomfortable, especially the pull‑out bed—my teens were unhappy! The tub didn’t drain properly, the bathroom door dragged along the floor, and the carpets desperately needed replacement. Even though I liked the shuttle, the driver had a fender bender on the way back from the airport; it was the first and only time my kids were in an accident. No one was hurt, thankfully, and the driver called for another driver to pick everyone up.
