The entire experience was a lie: our reservation wasn’t ready, even though they had our names on file; they shuffled us onto another cruise ship, which was acceptable, but the suite’s shower drains were non‑functional. Cleaning was poor, the all‑inclusive plan was cut back to full board despite multiple conversations, and customer service never answered any of our messages. Avoid this place at all costs. The staff were rude and the description didn’t match reality.

We stayed on the Jaz Celebrity instead of Iberotel Amara, but since the same company owns both, the review still applies. Everything was fantastic: staff were consistently friendly, the food was tasty, tea time was a treat, the pool and rooms were spotless, hot water was plentiful, laundry was quick, and even an African music show was a highlight. The Nile views were stunning. We loved it. Check‑out was a bit early, but that’s understandable given the early check‑in.
