A cheap spot that works: comfy beds, a toilet and shower, a small kitchen area with a fridge – the staff kept everything tidy and decent. The only hiccup was that the TV didn’t come with a power cable.

We weren’t told beforehand that our accommodation had changed location. I had selected this place because it offered parking, but in the end we ended up in central Brno without any parking and with poorer facilities. The owners still haven’t communicated any compensation.

The booking can only be done electronically. After filling out the check‑in, they send a PIN for key pickup, and you must also complete a check‑out form when leaving. Otherwise the place is fairly clean. It’s noisy, the windows are made of plastic instead of glass, and the terrace that was advertised isn’t there.

There was a large kitchen and even a washing machine. The first and overall impression felt like arriving at a hostel with strange people. The whole place smelled of smoke everywhere, the items were old, the walls were patched. The price for a room that had a toilet and shower was outrageous; I’d expect it to be cheaper and I’d feel embarrassed renting it so expensive. The room had glass doors, and we were scared that someone might break in at night.
