We had a one‑night layover before heading closer to the airport. The pool and room were exactly what we needed. The staff were lovely and cooked us a great breakfast. They gave us a recommendation for a dinner spot that was amazing – Gami Gedara. :)

The owner was a nice guy and his staff were pleasant when you could find them. The Sri Lankan breakfast was huge. The photos look nothing like the place now; it’s pretty rundown, they seem to have bricked up windows. The rooms are dark, very worn, and a bit depressing. There’s nothing around, it’s not close to town and tuk‑tuks are hard to hail on the street.

The room was in great condition, the staff were very friendly, and the stay was both comfortable and relaxing; the food was delicious, and they even gave me a welcome drink that wasn’t mentioned elsewhere.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which I highly recommend. The bungalow-style rooms I stayed in were right on the pool, equipped with air conditioning and a ceiling fan, and my room was clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom was a bit of a letdown, being mediocre at best and not particularly clean.
