Zulmira welcomed us with such kindness that we felt like part of her family. The breakfast was hearty and varied, and her French fluency made communication a breeze. It’s a memory we’ll cherish from our Cape Verde trip.

We loved staying at Casa Tota; the breakfast was the best we had all over Cape Verde. Even though we don’t speak French, the owner always found a way to help us. The place is easy to reach, right on the main road, and the local vendors pop by the door. The only downside was one side of the bed sagging a bit.

Tota is a genuinely warm and welcoming host who made us feel at ease. The location is a bit outside Assomada, and the town itself wasn’t our favorite, but that didn’t affect the stay. It’s still a good spot for day trips.
