The food was delicious and the free washing machine was a bonus, plus the west pier is just a walk away. The downside was that the washbasin was part of the unit bath.

Dinner and breakfast were both tasty, the ingredients were thoughtfully chosen and the staff were excellent. The location is great for touring the island on a rental bike or heading to the beach. The staff were friendly, letting me relax. They even had a light‑down time so I could see the stars. The rental bike I got first was a bit wobbly, but the second one worked fine and let me circle the island. The room was well equipped, though the sofa felt a bit damp—maybe from previous guests.

I stayed a little away from the village, which was a plus. Adding the dinner suggested by the hotel turned out to be overpriced.

A beautiful place to stay. The room was spacious and very clean. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. They offered transportation from and to the ferry terminal that was very nice. Rental bicycles were available on site. The only way to contact the hotel was by phone; they never answered my inquiries or emails.

I didn’t expect the stay to be this wonderful. Both breakfast and dinner were beautifully prepared, generous portions made with fresh local ingredients. The dinners were especially memorable—sukiyaki and sashimi in the evening, plus guava juice and homemade yogurt in the morning—absolutely delicious. The room had a wooden roof, and through the windows we could see a small private garden surrounded by beautiful hedges. The wind sound was soothing, and if the weather had been clearer I’d have seen a starry sky. The staff were exceptionally kind, giving thoughtful guidance and transportation. The lobby is filled with books about Taketomi Island’s history and sightseeing spots, so whether you’re waiting for the shuttle or relaxing after a walk, you never feel bored. This hotel truly made our stay on Taketomi Island unforgettable. I could not recommend it more.
