Situated 2 km from Thun, the Italian Lifestyle Hotel & Osteria Chartreuse lies just 200 m from Lake Thun’s beach and ship pier. Traditional rooms feature private bathrooms. A playground welcomes children, while a bus stop fronts the property. Interlaken is a 15‑minute drive, Bern 20 minutes, and Thun is a 20‑minute walk.

The room was spacious, breakfast was very good, and the place is well situated near Thun (by car), though the price is a bit high.

The place is great, right by the lake where we could splash around when we got there in the afternoon. They have a dinner restaurant with Italian wines. The rooms were newly renovated and the beds were comfy. We had a solid stay, especially since it was a scorching hot couple of days and the air‑conditioning was a real bonus in Switzerland. The only downside was that there was no elevator.

The hotel is excellent, cozy, and the rooms have been renovated. The breakfast was varied enough for a morning meal. It was very clean, thank you.

The surroundings were lovely, close to the bus stop and tourist spots, and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was modest but tasty. The room décor felt like a convent – plain and austere – and the bed was very uncomfortable; the mattress tore during the night. There was no tourist information available; you had to ask and search on your own.
