A stunning find right in the middle of nature, just steps from Bardia National Park. The place feels calm and authentic, ideal for unplugging and soaking up the surroundings. The staff are incredibly welcoming and caring, making the stay even better. The park adventure was a highlight: gorgeous scenery and the chance to spot wildlife, especially tigers, in their natural habitat. A passionate, highly professional guide made it unforgettable, especially Rishi who really helped create that memorable experience. The food was also top quality, with tasty meals throughout the trip. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for a successful nature immersion in Nepal.

“If you’re heading to Bardiya, stay here—simple as that.”

The safari was spectacular, largely due to the guide. His jungle knowledge was on another level—he could spot animals from the faintest rustle or distant bird call, and even climbed trees to find them when other guides missed everything. That made the whole trip not only successful but genuinely fun! We saw 6 tigers, 3 rhinos, and a huge herd of elephants, mostly just us—no other people. Back at the lodge, the food matched the excitement: consistently tasty, generous portions, and even the safari meals and snacks (included in the Safari price) were well planned and satisfying. The setting is perfect too—right by the river and only five minutes from the park entrance. All in all, this place offers exceptional value. Compared to other options in the area, it’s a bit of a bargain. I would definitely recommend it.

“Great, relaxing place to stay.”

A great spot to stay because of its proximity to Bardia National Park. The staff are very friendly, the vibe feels like a family, and they really worked hard to make our safaris enjoyable. The gardens are beautiful, a nice place to sit and relax. On the downside, safaris aren’t cheap, so think about how many days you plan to stay.

“Fantastischer Aufenthalt mit der Möglichkeit den Bardia Nationalpark kennzulernen.”

The Bardia Wildlife Resort sits dreamily in the middle of a lovely garden complex right across from Bardia National Park, separated only by a street and a fence meant to keep the wildlife out (though you can see monkeys drinking through a door by the river). The owners are very friendly and helpful, as is the guide Rishi, with whom I spent 2 days (one in a jeep and one on foot) in the national park and who gave me plenty of information and impressions. The food was also excellent, tasty and fresh, with many ingredients coming directly from our own cultivation. I’ve rarely had such a great stay. My tips: the resort arranges both transport (e.g., to Nepalgunj airport) and tours in Bardia National Park (see above), and they also provide clean water in glass bottles—this at least reduces plastic waste a bit.

The safaris here are truly unforgettable. Our guides were super friendly, had eagle eyes, and knew the park like the back of their hand. We saw everything from tigers to exotic birds, and they shared their vast knowledge with us. The only downside was the shower, which wasn't very warm.
