The team was friendly and went out of their way to help. I was totally enamoured with the bathtub, and the beds were supremely comfy. Luckily we had access to an outdoor patio perfect for picnics. The welcome packet was packed with useful info. No negatives at all – it was a fantastic place.

Superb hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. ++ For the staff. Could let the luggage in the hotel even after checkout to be able to visit the city before leaving

I appreciated how close the hotel was to the train station and how easy it was to reach the university and museums. However, I felt it didn’t deliver value for money; the building looked a bit run‑down and impersonal, and I was honestly let down. Breakfast wasn’t included.

The house’s location was fine. There was no staff whatsoever, which was a first for me at a top hotel.
