La propreté, la couette chaude. Les photos ne montrent pas la route au bord du logement, circulation bruyante, escaliers très abrupt,la nuit à 95 euros est particulièrement exagéré, sans petit déjeuner, chambre 5 exiguë

“A nice stay at Fitzwarine House.”

Fitzwarine House is a lovely house opposite Whittington Castle, but breakfast isn’t offered there; the pub next door serves breakfast from 8am every morning.

The place was clean overall with a great shower and a café opposite, but the photos show a gorgeous tranquil location that’s actually on a busy road; the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable, there was no Wi‑Fi, and the room was dark.

“Handy stay on the way west, and opposite Whittington Castle”

Debbie - who runs the place - is not able to offer breakfast, but recommended the pub next door (from 0800) or the castle almost opposite (from 0900). We had an excellent breakfast at the latter - nice setting and nice people. Fitzwarine House is an old building and slightly old-fashioned, but the bed was comfortable and the shower &c all good. Room and bed-side lighting is a bit dim, though. The room (1) had rather dim lighting, and the bed seemed very soft - softer than we're used to, anyway, but not necessarily a problem. Our room faced the road, so we had to close the window to quell the traffic noise - but then it was much better

“Relaxing break with lovely hosts”

The location is ideal for visiting different areas, the hosts are very friendly and accommodating, and if Debbie was busy Jeanette was very bubbly. We loved the quirky building and found it a nice, relaxing place to stay. I didn’t like having to leave and go home.
